Welcome to the Eastwood United Methodist Church website!
Caruthersville is a great place to be and Eastwood Memorial is a great church to attend.
Take some time and browse the site. Our goal is to be an "outwardly focused" church, taking the love of Christ beyond the walls of the
building. In addition to bringing others to Christ, we want to make a positive difference in our community.
We have a casual service at 8:30 and a traditional service at 10:30. Sunday school is every Sunday at 9:30. We offer a chance to grow
in many ways. We have activities throughout the week, small groups, Bible studies, and a loving, caring church family.
Look around the site. If you want to find a place to belong, a place where you can make a difference, an opportunity to impact others,
and a way to influence your community, join us at Eastwood memorial United Methodist Church in Caruthersville, Missouri.
Rev. Jerry Mattson, Pastor
On Wednesday August 5 at 11:00 a.m. there will be a Bazaar Planning Meeting in Dorroh Hall. Please come and join us for the meeting.
It's that time of the year again, school is starting and it is time for us to bake our cookies for our teachers. We have 182 teachers and staff who will be working in the local schools. We need our cooks to make their delicious cookies to start their school year off with a yummy "Welcome Back to School from the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church". If you would like to help bake the cookies, please bring your cookies to the church the morrning of August 10 or 11.
It is a great time to stock up on school supplies for your shoe boxes. Our church goal is 140 boxes. Some of the items needed are crayola crayons, composition books, Ink pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, and glue sticks. Other items that make great box stuffers include: jump rope, flip flops, sun glasses and t-shirts. As summer draws to a close these items will be on sale. Remember the tax free weekend dates: Missouri and Tennessee: August 7 through August 9.
Donate your gently used shoes to help those who have none. We will be collecting shoes through August to help people living in poverty throughout the world. Please bring your shoes to the children's building Monday through Friday 8:00 - 12:00 or we will have a box in the foyer if you want to bring the shoes on your way to church
The choir will not practice on Wednesday nights during the summer, but we will meet early on Sunday before church. We will sing if we have enough members present.
